GENERAL INFORMATION    PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

 

    WHAT EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED ?

1)    Helmet - Must be CSA approved, with a chin strap and a full face mask.

2)    Gloves - Hockey gloves are required, Lacrosse / Broomball gloves are not permitted.

3)    Shoes - Running shoes for players, Goalies may wear shoes offering more instep and toe protection.

4)    Sticks - Sticks must be made of wood or aluminum, no plastic screw on blades are permitted.

5)    Athletic / Jill support must be worn for all games.

6)    Goalies must wear full legal equipment with CSA approved helmet with face mask (League has some equipment)

7)    The following equipment is optional but strongly recommended.

8)     Shin Pads ( Soccer Style ) are now required in order to participate in any OBHA event, they must however be cover by Socks.

          

 

    Game Days and Times ?

The Oshawa Minor Ball Hockey League runs on, Tuesday and Thursday Nights at Harman park arena in Oshawa. Depending on the age of your son or daughter playing, they could play anytime between 5 pm and 10 pm.  The Tyke and Novice division usually play the 5 and 6 o'clock games with the Atom, Peewee, and Bantam / Midgets playing anywhere from  7pm till 10 pm. 

Due to league Registration it may necessary to schedule additional games on a Monday or Wednesday Nights, depending on the availability of floor time.
